Apparatus Dance Workshop

Integrating Floor and Aerial movement

Sunday 21st April | 1 - 3 pm | The Work Room


Participants will explore the dynamic relationship between floor movement and the unique challenge of weight sharing on various circus apparatus. Through guided exercises and improvisation, participants will delve into the fusion of physical expression and technical skill, discovering new avenues for creativity with this fusion of dance and air.  

This workshop provides a nurturing space for personal discovery, welcoming individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels. While prior circus experience is not required, those with a background in aerial arts will find a refreshing perspective in reimagining familiar apparatus techniques on the ground. Similarly, dancers will gain valuable insights into foundational aerial techniques and explore the exciting possibilities of movement in relation to apparatus.
