Meeting Points II is a collaborative international exchange supporting four independent choreographers (2 from Munich and 2 from Scotland) to come together to share practice, research ideas and exchange working methods, outwith the pressure of production. Bridie Gane and David West the selected artists from Scotland joining Laura Saumweber and Quindell Orton from Munich.

The artists have already connected in a week long research lab hosted by Tanzbüro München in Germany last November and will come back together next week in Glasgow. During this week there will be opportunities for the artists to see work together, learn about each others processes and practice during studio time and to build new networks.

This is the second edition of this collaboration between Tanzbüro München and The Work Room with the first Meeting Points taking place in 2019/ 2020.  Through this project we are continuing the cooperative relationship between The Work Room and Tanzbüro München, as well as seeding creative collaborations between independent choreographers in Scotland and Germany.

This week in Scotland is supported by the Goethe-Institut in Glasgow. Those interested in hearing more about the project are invited an informal artists' talk and reception at the Goethe-Institut on Friday 13 May from 5pm – 7pm. The artists and representatives from The Work Room & Tanzbüro München will be in conversation about their collaborative work as part of this international dance artist exchange project.

Email hello@theworkroom.org.uk to let us know that you are coming along.
