Checking In Together - A Members Gathering

Members Gathering | Tuesday 8th April | 11 am - 1 pm | The Work Room resource space & studio

One of the things we love about The Work Room is that we are a community, with ongoing opportunities to connect, exchange, share and support one another. 

Checking In Together is an invitation to come together with other members of The Work Room, to share what's going on - or not - for you in dance just now. This might be chatting about a project in development, discussing books or others' work you're feeling excited about, sharing challenges with peers, or sounding out new ideas.

Anita & Sara will be there to chat about our current programme, answer any questions, or chat through ideas. We'll have tea and coffee and some refreshments available.

SCHEDULE

Before the gathering, there will be an open morning class in the studio with Melissa Kieffer / Fleur Darkin Presence Projects from 9:30 - 11 am. Then afterwards, from 1 - 5 pm, we open out the studio and resource room for any members to use - to move, read, research or catch up on your admin. This will be a shared space environment, so you are simply asked to give consideration to others around you. 

• 9:30 - 11:00 - Open Professional Class with Fleur Darkin Presence Projects (optional)
• 11:00 - 13:00 - Checking In Together- Tea, coffee & a lightly facilitated introduction and conversation 
• 13:00 - 17:00 - Open studio and resource space - shared drop in co-working / co-practice space

TIME, DATE, & PLACE

Checking In Together is an in person members gathering on Tuesday 8 April, from 11:00 - 13:00 in The Work Room studio and resource space (previously referred to as the Green Room).

The Work Room is located on the first floor of Tramway, 25 Albert Drive, Glasgow, G41 2PE.

There is level access to The Work Room from the street. The Work Room has two gender neutral, wheelchair accessible toilets, a range of seating options (including chairs with and without arms, a comfy sofa, bean bags and ergonomic height adjustable desk chairs). 

Please note that Tramway is not open to the public on Tuesday, 8 April. Members should enter via the Stage Door entrance, off Pollockshaws Road (follow signs for the Hidden Gardens).

BOOKING

This event is only open to members of The Work Room.

You are welcome to drop in on the day, but we do appreciate you letting us know if you're coming along, so we can get enough snacks in! Please drop us a quick email on hello@theworkroom.org.uk to let us know you'll be coming, ask any questions, and to flag any food allergies or access requirements.
