“Anticlockwise” - sharing of work in progress
Friday 11 April 3.30 pm | The Work Room Studio
Join us in The Work Room studio on Friday 11 April, for a work-in-progress sharing by TWR member Tsoi Huen Wong & collaborator Christiano Mere!
In January this year, Tsoi Huen Wong undertook a week-long residency in The Work Room developing new work with collaborator Christiano Mere.
“Anticlockwise” utilises anticlockwise circular movements to explore the meaning of resisting entropy, resisting the draining of life that insists on moving towards the less complex. Anticlockwise is the movement of producing complexities and, as such, strategies against the diminishment of existence.
By sharing their practices, they realised that the circular gesture underpins both practices despite their different structures. Therefore, “Anticlockwise” appears as a physical exploration of the unformed similarities of these practices and with them the essence of the gesture of resistance.
On Friday 11 April at 3.30pm the artists are coming back together to share some of what they developed in this residency and further research time spent together at Dance Base.
