Catalyst Dance Management

My work

Our passion for dance drives Catalyst inspiring individual dance makers, choreographers, companies, audiences and funders. We aim to help dance artists to flourish and be inspired - allowing the time and space for the creative process, by alleviating some of the stresses and challenges faced by trying to manage all elements of their work. We work strategically with artists over a longer period of time, contributing to the ongoing development of their work and vision, encouraging trusting relationships to be formed into lasting partnerships. Catalyst seeks to champion and support the development of artists with a flexible and open approach - offering a supportive environment where the conditions are responsive to the needs of the artist.

By working closely with companies, producing and presenting partners and funders, Catalyst offers an integrated support structure which seeks to match work with audiences and to develop existing and new audiences for dance and Scottish choreographic output. Catalyst aims to help artists and companies identify the wider impact and context of their work and practice by maintaining outlook of the sector as a whole, keeping abreast of current opportunities and building connections with the dance industry locally, nationally and internationally.

A dynamic new production by award-winning director, Grant Smeaton and seminal Scottish choreographer, Alan Greig. Weaving together dialogue, dance and theatre, Do You Nomi takes the audience on a humorous, dark and sensual journey, using four male performers to hold a spotlight on the life of Klaus Nomi and his rise to fame in the New York avant garde scene of the 1970s and 80s.
