The Work Room has devised and developed a platform event for Dance International Glasgow. Building on the success of Nexus at British Dance Edition in 2014, this years event will take place over 4 days as part of Tramway's DIG festival.

Nexus has been programmed with the following aims as defined by consultation with the membership.

NEXUS seeks to provide:

  • A meeting point for members of The Work Room
  • A place to discover one another’s work
  • An opportunity to hear about and meet artists outside of dance
  • A chance to meet and hear about producers and producing
  • A mixture of movement, discussion and socializing
  • A mix of research, information sharing, peer learning and sharing practice
  • An opportunity to profile The Work Room at Dance International Glasgow

Indepen-dance 4 present a triple bill of vibrant work that is touring across Scotland this spring.

“Richly varied, technically demanding work that the group perform superbly” The Herald

Some of the Moments We Haven’t Forgotten by Christine Devaney (Curious Seed) looks at those moments that have no meaning unless shared with another and features live music by cellist Robin Mason.

Drifting, directed by Ramesh Meyyappan, studies a boy falling in and out of sleep. As his sleep becomes deeper and longer, his family begin to drift apart as stresses and strains take their toll.

Goldfish choreographed by Lucy Bennett and Chris Pavia (Stopgap Dance Company) takes you into the imaginary world of Owen Moon as he submerges himself into a fantasy full of fish, space and MTV.
