Ines Bento Coelho

Inês Bento Coelho is a visual artist, and researcher based in Glasgow. She works with installation, choreography, and performance to explore space awareness and perception. Recent projects include Birds, shown at CCA in December 2016, and This is Not About Dance, a performance-installation shown at the Reid Gallery, Glasgow School of Art in September 2016. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Glasgow School of Art investigating choreography as a visual arts process, in particular, looking at choreographic practices in the context of installation work. This research is funded by the FCT Foundation and supervised by Stephanie Smith, Laura Gonzalez and Sophia Lycouris. Inês graduated in 2013 from an AHRC-funded MA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins.
