Harry Wilson

I am a performance maker, researcher and sound artist based in Glasgow. I graduated from Theatre Studies at the University of Glasgow in 2008 and completed a Masters by research on devised theatre in 2011. My work uses contemporary performance strategies of developing and composing work; combining choreographed movement, projection and performative text through a devising process.I have shown work at a range of festivals and venues including Arches LIVE, IETM Glasgow, BAC, Forest Fringe, Hunt and Darton Cafe, Buzzcut Festival and Summerhall. I have also worked as a collaborator with Untitled Projects, Ankur Productions and Cora Bissett, Magnetic North, the National Youth Theatre and Glas(s) Performance.I am currently researching the relationships between performance and photography as part of a practice-based PhD at the University of Glasgow. Specifically, I am interested in exploring the presence of the live body in my work through movement, performance installation and task-based actions.I hope to develop my own movement practice in relation to the work curated by The Work Room and with the support of its networks, and opportunities.
